Edward H. Shull Jr. began his career in 1962 working for Aspen Tree Services.
In 1966, he had the good fortune to work for Acer Tree Services which was owned and operated by Mr. Marsico. For the next ten years, Ed learned "the craft" and realized his calling in life. Shull's Tree Service Inc was founded in 1976.
From one truck, one chipper and small crew of two employees, Ed Shull began his business and made a commitment to provide only exceptional residential and commercial tree service.
In 1983, Ed Shull hired Mr. Marsico as a tree advisor and salesman. That same year Shull's Tree Service Inc started doing tree service work for Hershey Golf Course for the LPGA tournament and expanded his business to provide service to local and state government areas, 3 Mile Island, the Harrisburg State Capitol Building and grounds, the Hershey Country Club, the Hershey Hotel, the Riverfront along Front Street, Hershey Candyland, Tangiers and Dutch Wonderland just to name a few.
Ed Shull is referred to by many as the "Tree Doctor."
Mr. Shull feels that his greatest legacy so far in the tree service industry is to have had the opportunity to meet so many good people from all walks of life and all generations. His commitment to integrity, honesty, quality of work, and his love and appreciation for nature have remained constant through his 50+ years in the tree service business.
